Viraj Gandhi is an alumnus of the National Law University, Jodhpur, where he completed his B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he worked in the chambers of Mr. Sidharth Luthra, Senior Advocate and Former Additional Solicitor General of India. During this period, he worked on matters involving constitutional law, arbitration, economic offences, criminal law, prevention of corruption, prevention of money laundering, and juvenile justice, among other areas, appearing before the District Courts, the Delhi High Court, and the Supreme Court of India.
Since 2018, he has maintained an independent litigation and advisory practice. He appears regularly before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, the Delhi High Court, the National Company Law Tribunal, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, the National Green Tribunal, District Courts, Consumer Commissions, the Debt Recovery Tribunal, and the Real Estate Regulatory Tribunal. His practice spans civil suits, writ petitions, criminal prosecutions under the Indian Penal Code and the Negotiable Instruments Act, arbitrations, and corporate and commercial matters including mergers, amalgamations, insolvency proceedings, and cases of oppression and mismanagement. He also handles matters relating to environmental law, education law, and medical negligence.
He regularly acts as counsel for companies and individuals in internal investigations and proceedings brought by domestic law enforcement agencies, including the Economic Offences Wing, the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate, and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office. He has represented several public sector undertakings and government bodies in litigation.
