Litigation and advisory practice. Chandigarh, since 2016.
Litigra is a litigation and advisory practice based in Chandigarh, with operations in Delhi. The firm was founded in 2016 to bring together experienced practitioners across dispute resolution and legal advisory work.
The name is a portmanteau of “litigation” and “grail”. It reflects the firm’s founding conviction: that principled, thorough advocacy is not merely a professional obligation but a pursuit worth dedicating a practice to.
The firm's work spans nine principal areas of practice.
Suits for recovery, specific performance, declaration, injunction, and damages, and commercial disputes arising out of contracts, joint ventures, distributorships, and shareholder arrangements.
Proceedings before the NCLT and the NCLAT, including corporate insolvency resolution, liquidation, oppression and mismanagement petitions, and schemes of arrangement.
Writ petitions before the High Court of Punjab and Haryana and the Supreme Court of India in matters concerning service law, regulatory action, statutory authorities, and the protection of fundamental rights.
White collar matters, economic offences, anticipatory and regular bail, quashing petitions, and trials before sessions and special courts, along with criminal appeals and revisions before the High Court and the Supreme Court.
Domestic and international commercial arbitrations, including proceedings under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, enforcement of awards, and ancillary proceedings before constitutional courts.
Representation of government servants, public sector employees, and private sector workforces in disciplinary proceedings, departmental appeals, and writ petitions arising out of service conditions.
Appearances for borrowers, guarantors, and financial institutions in recovery proceedings and in matters under the SARFAESI Act.
Writ petitions challenging tax demands, search and seizure actions, and adjudication orders before the constitutional courts.
A substantial part of the firm's work is appellate, before the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, and the Supreme Court of India.
The firm's practice is spread across the following forums.
Every engagement is treated as distinct. The firm’s work is shaped by the facts and circumstances of each matter, not by templates or standardised playbooks. This means combining careful legal research with practical courtroom strategy, and adapting as proceedings develop.
The firm values clarity in its advice and economy in its arguments. Matters are staffed to ensure that the advocates who prepare a case are the ones who argue it.
Litigra recognises the significance of the trust clients place in their counsel. The firm is committed to transparent communication, realistic assessments, and consistent availability throughout the course of a matter.
The objective in every engagement is not limited to a favourable outcome. It extends to ensuring that clients understand their position, the risks involved, and the reasoning behind each step taken on their behalf.
The firm was conceived with a longer view of legal practice. Effective representation does not begin when a dispute arises. It begins with sound structuring, careful documentation, and advice that anticipates rather than merely responds to legal risk.
Litigra is committed to building a practice where litigation skill and advisory foresight work together, so that clients are as well prepared before disputes as they are well represented during them.
The firm’s practitioners bring together decades of collective legal experience, having held roles as Additional Advocate General and Deputy Advocate General, served as standing counsel for statutory bodies, and practised across the Supreme Court, High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, and various tribunals.
