Vaibhav Sharma

Vaibhav Sharma is the founding partner of Litigra, a litigation and advisory law firm. He has over 17 years of experience across corporate, commercial, and litigation matters. He holds a Master of Laws degree and is an alumnus of the Army Institute of Law, Mohali.

From 2013 to 2017, he served as Deputy Advocate General for the State of Punjab, representing the state in matters before the Supreme Court and the Punjab and Haryana High Court. His work in that role covered writs, taxation, criminal, and service law. From 2020 to 2022, he served as Standing Counsel for the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in Haryana. He has been bestowed with the privilege and prestige of being appointed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court to defend the Court in cases filed against it. He is also an Empanelled Counsel for the Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board.

His practice spans civil and criminal litigation, corporate disputes, taxation, and white-collar crime. A substantial portion of his work is in corporate law, where he advises on mergers, de-mergers, capital reductions, and other forms of corporate restructuring, as well as legal due diligence, deal structuring, and transaction documentation. He has represented stakeholders in insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings under the IBC and has handled cases of oppression and mismanagement before the NCLT. His depth of experience across criminal, civil, corporate, regulatory, and constitutional law allows him to examine client issues with a holistic, 360-degree perspective. Where others may approach a matter through a single lens, his cross-disciplinary practice enables him to anticipate risks and identify legal intersections that can materially affect a client’s position, whether that means spotting a regulatory exposure buried in a commercial transaction or recognizing the corporate law dimensions of what appears to be a straightforward civil dispute.

Outside of his interest in the law, his passions include technology and its intersection with the legal profession, particularly the implications of artificial intelligence. He is an advocate for the adoption of legal technology to enhance efficiency and access to justice.
